the past two weekends have been so jam packed with activity that i haven't even had the energy to plug in a usb cord and click my mouse--unless the cursor will play an episode of bones on netflix.

sooo, here's the motherlode:

thursday night bonfire at golden gardens (at 9:30 pm!).

first amtrak ride -- en route to self-proclaimed weirdery.

painting by numbers (literally) at the saturday market.

this past saturday i coordinated a(nother) food drive, which would be nothing without

extraordinary students.

i'm sure we raised many a pound of food.

i can't propagate civic engagement without cultivating my own practice and my knee injury continues to inhibit a new found interest in cycling, so the morning after the food drive, i married the two and volunteered at the 2012 haul ash event to benefit bike works.

gender indiscriminate spandex halfway there.

whoever said philanthropy didn't have its thirst-quenching, tongue-in-cheek rewards?

aaaaand just yesterday i finally finished:

my first knitting project!

it is not a thing of beauty and it's certainly wrought with imperfection, but i made it and it makes me warm and fuzzy inside and out.
