it's a ridiculous month of conferences and trainings. today was the first of it all and
it
was
amazing.
rather than opt for yet another pre-conference lecture, i chose to participate in a hands-on lake clean up...in kayaks!! i teamed up with a guy from new orleans and we totally showed those discarded beer bottles, styrofoam and twine. buoyant self-propulsion and the sound of a paddle slicing through the surface of the water makes for a tranquil experience, and a new perspective of a view you've seen countless times.
i wish i had pictures, but camera + rain gear worthy activity = no can dosville babydoll.

i went to see a concert over the weekend with a friend and some acquaintances. i hadn't heard of them until the day prior and it was...homogeneous. but this is apparently their hit song. enjoy, no one.
