thursday was the first anniversary of the manifest hawaii--
daniel brown took amazing party shots. and...

john hook took ridiculously fantastic prom photos for everyone!
it was awesome. grown-up prom means home early enough for work in the morning. plus, my rad date got me...
my first wrist corsage! high school proms (which were bloody awful and thankfully years past) always involved bouquets of lame roses. corsages are mobile beauty--love 'em!
friday was the black star concert at aloha tower marketplace. crazy hectic. held it down in my spot 10 feet short of the stage for 3 hours just to prove to myself that i had the calm and patience to follow through.
during this time, 3 out of 4 military gentleman pushed their way up front and treated me to these delightful auditory and eye treats (i've nicknamed them for distinctive ease, you're welcome):
1) frantically eye-pacing hoping someone will laugh thought by yelling "wrap it up b, wrap it upppp," this regurgitated line from chappelle's show would coerce all 3 opening acts off the stage more promptly.
2) gum-chewing so hard head veins were pulsating screamed at and attempted to initiate fisticuffs with a guy who "got too close" to them.
3) ooh, look a vagina cornered an eensy 4-foot female and proceeded to suck the spirit energy out of her face approximately 7 inches from mine.
their antics really helped pass the time until black star finally appeared:
and i got my picture, best of all with someone's happy shaka:-D
saturday was a simple night out with one of my bests,
and a couple of these zany characters.
today was comprised of a relaxing sunday morning at the beach with the same aforementioned best and her lovely little lady:
miaaaaaaa!
i returned home, but couldn't sit still and proceeded to walk from makiki to ala moana. along my journey i saw--
a juxtaposition of color i couldn't get out of my mind.
where all my piano recitals as a kid were held.

and the most bewildering, discarded request i've seen in a while. my first thought when completing this mad lib was daughter. straighten up steven, we don't participate in no bride pricing 'round this side of makiki.
